COVID-19 Update

Here at West Midlands House we are happy to announce we are open. However, we have been functioning under strict policies and updated guidelines due to COVID-19 for the safety of our residents and staff.

The following statement will outline the preparation and precautions that West Midlands House are implementing. Our team have developed these guidelines with the health and safety of everyone as the guiding principle. We will continually update and revise these guidelines upon new information received from the Government.

We have implemented the following guidelines:

• Do not come into work if you have a high temperature, persistent cough or are living with someone who has.
• There are clear markings on the floor to help maintain a 2 metre distance.
• The reception area now has a screen to protect the reception staff and anyone entering and exiting the building.
• The reception team will sign in visitors.
• We recommend utilizing the 24hour building access time to allow for staggered start/finish times.
• Our cleaners are regularly cleaning common contact surfaces such as doors, desks etc.
• Our team have made hand sanitiser readily available throughout the building.
• We have restricted the toilets to only 2 people at a time, to allow for social distancing.
• The lifts have a 1 person limit, please use the stairs when possible.
• We have rearranged some office furniture to allow for social distancing rules.
• There will be no sharing of computers or laptops allowed.
• Meetings should only be face to face when necessary and should be held in open spaces where possible.
• We have limited inductions to a 4 person maximum so, we can ensure that social distancing measures can be maintained.
• We have sent all residents a full communication pack regarding the new guidelines and how to best ensure the safety of everyone.
