Sending out christmas cheer with 212 recruitment
Christmas is a magical time of year, don’t you think? Something for all to enjoy. Towns lit up to mark the occasion, family coming together to share the festivities and gifts being shared amongst loved ones. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!
But what if your Christmas didn’t look like this? Unfortunately for many it may not! Thankfully, two of our amazing clients wanted to make a difference in some children’s lives this year!
Over the past few weeks, Thomas Preece and Mitchell Cotterill of 212 Recruitment Consultants, have been working on a fantastic project which they brought to us with intentions for us to join in and help the initiative along to achieve the goal in mind.
The project in question was for the international charity, Samaritans Purse UK who run a successful yearly shoebox appeal campaign, known as ‘Operation Christmas Child‘.
The project itself is done for children around the world who have nothing throughout the year, but giving them something to look forward to during the Christmas period.
Each individual child will receive a box filled just for them, with items which will be theirs and theirs only. This includes toys for them to play with, as well as any items they may require but are unable to attain themselves, like that of school equipment or hygiene based items. The things we would usually take for granted, are the same ones which will give a child hope, and the feeling of joy this festive season, even if for a little while.
Thanks to their continuous hardwork, the assistance of the West Midlands House team, and other gracious donators getting involved, Thomas and Mitchell came to us with a total of 50 boxes filled and being delivered.
Well done, guys on this achievement! And thank you for asking us to be part of this wonderful initiative.
If you would like to donate to this cause also, there is still time to do so. Make sure to visit the Samaritans Purse website today for further details.
