LIBRARIAN II SALARY: 2025 $62,950 - $67,723.   LOCATION: Saratoga Springs Public Library (SSPL). RESIDENCY: No residency requirement. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :  Master’s Degree in Library Science from a library school that is accredited by the American Library Association or recognized by the New York State Education Department as following accepted education practices (some universities have renamed their programs and no longer designate the degree as a Master’s in Library Science—contact the New York State Library’s Division of Library Development for assistance). Two (2) years of full-time experience as a professional Librarian. OR Four (4) years of part-time verifiable experience as a professional Librarian. OR Equivalent combination of full and part-time experience as a professional Librarian (totaling verifiable minimum of two years or 3,640 hours). DUTIES :  Under direction from a higher level librarian or administrative director, the Librarian II performs advanced librarian work, with responsibilities in the areas of information services, outreach, programming, resource development, training and staff development, project management, and leadership support.  Supervision may be exercised over the work of professional, paraprofessional, and clerical staff, as well as volunteers. Performs related work as required.
